During Week 8 of Term 2, St Mary's sent four staff members to the Diocese of Parramatta to look at how schools integrate ICT into their classrooms. We had a fabulous experience and learnt how to "de-privatise teaching and individualise learning".
One thing became very apparent, we need to change our attitude and practices, in order to teach our students to their full potential in this, the 21st century.
We look forward to giving a full update of what we have achieved at St Mary's.

Hi Gina and Jess,
I am so envious. The trip to Sydney sounds wonderful and has certainly inspired you all. I'm guessing the new buzz words around St Mary's are 'deprivitise' and 'individualize'. I'm looking forward to my next visit there to see the physical changes being made in classrooms and to see how the students respond to something new.
Keep up the enthusiasm!
Trish
Below is the attached file of our LTLL Powerpoint presentation, given at Narromine.
As a staff, we enjoyed the day; taking time out to evaluate where we are going on this journey and what we need to achieve. It was great to see the processes of other schools and to gather ideas to incorporate into our LTLL program.
We would like to thank Mike and Charles for their input and advice in the ongoing process.
Staff at Warren are looking forward to the next LTLL in-service in Narromine. We are slowly learning about WIKI and learning our way around the site.
Should each staff member have a log in or just one for the school?
Thanks to the schools that have added information to their WIKI page. It has given us a few ideas.

Hey Gina and Jess Great to have you on board the WIKI. I think it is helpful for individuals to contribute to the school page and together the comments form a whole school perspective. Every individual learns and perceives things differently so it would be great to share all that unique wisdom and experience around!! Look forward to reading more about your work. Can you tell us a bit more about what you are doing?

Here is a link Gina found which links to our comprehension focus for SSNP www.read.write.think.org
It is particularly good for creating letters and postcards .

Thanks for the Link Gina It would be great if any other WIKI members aware of useful links to support comprehension could post them here too! Jane 28/4/10
